Attempted robbery, bodily harm, resistance to state authority – this is the summary of an incident that took place on Monday evening at Klagenfurt Central Station. In the lead role: a severely alcoholic 26-year-old.
It happened around 3am: two boys, aged 14 and 15, were waiting for the train to their hometown when they were attacked by the 26-year-old. The man tried to rob the two teenagers and injured them by hitting and kicking them. Both teenagers suffered injuries of unknown nature.
Klagenfurt attacks the police
Only a short time later the police intervened: the officers wanted to calm the perpetrator – he tried to escape, but was stopped and arrested. During the arrest he behaved aggressively and injured one of the two police officers.
The breath test performed showed that the 26-year-old was heavily intoxicated. The man from Klagenfurt was taken to the police detention center. Further investigations are now being carried out.
