Fire alarm on Monday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: an e-scooter caught fire in the basement of a house. The alerted emergency services were able to prevent worse. No one was injured.
According to the police, the location of the night-time operation was a social facility in Volders, Kleinvolderberg district. Shortly before 23:00, an e-scooter caught fire in the basement of the building.
It is not yet known why the electric scooter caught fire. “A resident of the house noticed the smell of fire in the basement and immediately started to fight the fire with a fire extinguisher,” the police said.
No one was injured
The fire was then finally extinguished by the alert emergency services. The Volders fire brigade was on site with a total of 25 men. “No one was injured,” the investigators continued. The extent of the damage caused cannot yet be quantified.
