On Tuesday, the Vienna police managed to arrest the second prisoner (31), who escaped from the Josefstadt prison center in mid-July.
Thanks to intensive investigation by the officers, the 31-year-old was found in a hotel room in Josefstadt. Her 35-year-old partner was also in the hotel room at the time.
Foreign IDs secured
There was also a warrant for the 35-year-old’s arrest on drug-related charges. Both are currently in jail. Other ID and debit cards, crystal meth and heroin were also seized from the room.

In mid-July, the prisoner walked out of the penitentiary in Vienna together with another woman in casual clothes and escaped. A few days later, one of the two fugitives was arrested by the police after she was recognized during a traffic check in Vienna-Währing.
