Actually, billy goat “Peter” should have been with his new herd in Bregenz-Oberfluh a long time ago, but the stubborn bovine from Tyrol had other things in mind: After being transported to his new home, he simply jumped off the trailer and first explored the area.
“Peter” did not show up for days. The new owner Marcel Gruber was already afraid that something had happened to the animal. In the meantime, he was briefly noticed, but he could not be caught. Finally, the stubborn goat decided to move to his new home – and on Saturday evening, exactly one week after his disappearance, he suddenly appeared, as if by magic, very close to his current herd.
It was discovered by an acquaintance of Gruber’s who was currently in the forest with his wheel bearing: “Suddenly the buck stood in the middle of the path and did not move. Marcel Gruber immediately rushed to it, and together the two men rode on.” the runaway in his new herd.
“I’m glad he didn’t get any injuries,” says a relieved Gruber. What also makes him happy: “Peter” seems to feel very comfortable with his new comrades. A real happy ending for everyone involved!
