On Tuesday, the discounter Hofer recalled the product “Gourmet anchovy specialty – variety Provenciale” from the supplier VOG AG due to possible contamination with glass splinters. The sale was immediately halted, Hofer said.
These are products with an expiration date of October 26, 2023. The anchovy has been available in all Austrian stores since October.
Consumption is discouraged. Consumers can hand in the anchovy specialty in all branches. The purchase price will be refunded even without a receipt.
This warning does not imply that the hazard was caused by the producer, manufacturer or distributor.
