Vandals are doing a lot of things in Innsbruck in the true sense of the word. Equipped with spray paint, they march through the streets and deface election posters. This weekend alone, the police registered eight incidents.
As the executive branch reported on Monday, eight large election posters in the city were defaced with spray paint between last Friday and Monday. It is said that the extent of the material damage caused is not yet known.
Popular targets of FPÖ, NEOS and ÖVP
Since the start of the election campaign, numerous posters in Innsbruck have been defaced by vandals. As reported, the focus is mainly on images and messages from the FPÖ. But NEOS and ÖVP posters are apparently also popular targets. FPÖ city party leader Rudi Federspiel has offered a reward of 1,500 euros to catch the vandals.
