Since the system came into effect, the Provincial Ministry of Álava has opened a total of 64 files for not applying TicketBai. At the moment, they have not specified which txosnas have been filed and how many.
The Foral Treasury of Álava is open 64 files related to the failure to comply with the obligation to install the ticket collection system and “some” of them have opened up to txosnas that in the past La Blanca de Vitoria-Gasteiz parties did not use this system.
In the subsequent press conference of the Foral Government Council, the Deputy General of Álava, Ramiro González, recalled that “it is necessary to comply with the tax obligation due to the principle of transparency and solidarity” and that therefore the txosnas are also obliged to do so.
González has declined to specify which tickets have been filed or how many there are, because the law prohibits taxpayers from being identified, but he has said that “some” are being investigated for not using the ticket booth.
These sanctions processes, he added, are pending resolution and the procedure is “guaranteed” so that both the txosnas and the rest of the taxpayers who have been filed for this reason can file the corresponding charges. “There should be no opaque spaces for the compliance of tax obligations,” he stressed.
