A spectacular gunfight took place on the street in Vienna-Favoriten on Tuesday afternoon when a car suddenly caught fire. The scene, which unfolded before the eyes of shocked passers-by, could have come straight from an action-packed James Bond film.
Out of nowhere, the vehicle turned into a flaming fireball. A car in flames in the middle of Vienna-Favoriten: a reporter from the “Krone” reader could hardly believe his eyes when he drove past in his car.
Unexplained cause of fire
Fortunately, the photographer in his car kept his distance, so that he and no one else were injured. According to the Vienna Fire Department, this incident took place around 2 p.m. near Gudrunstrasse in Vienna’s 10th district.
Why the car caught fire is not yet clear. The fire brigade reached the burning car after a few minutes to extinguish the fire. All that had to be done was to clear the roadway and the burnt parts of the car were then removed by the emergency services.
