On Wednesday night, a brutal attack took place in Vienna-Mariahilf. A group of five attacked a man and stole his wallet. An intensive search is underway for a suspect, the rest of the group is currently unknown to the authorities.
For many people, the nighttime journey home is a scary undertaking. For a 41-year-old man, this ultimately became fatal. A group of five apparently approached the man and brutally attacked him. The perpetrators’ target: the victim’s wallet.
The man suffered injuries to his face, upper body and hand.
Only one single photo offers a potential clue to identify a possible suspect. A special feature of the alleged perpetrator: the long, curly and brown hair (see photo above). The other four accomplices are currently unknown to the investigating authorities.
Vienna police are asking for more information about identifying the suspect by calling 01-31310-43223. They are also looking for possible witnesses who saw the crime.
