The ERE in MasOrange is considering 39 redundancies in Euskaltel

Orange Spain’s two subsidiaries, OSP and OSFI, will be the companies most affected by the ERE, which will specifically mean 521 redundancies at Orange Spain (OSP) and 33 at Orange Spain Communications Fixed (OSFI).

The two subsidiaries of Orange Spain, OSP and OSFI, will be the companies most affected by the Employment Regulation File (ERE) currently being negotiated by the employee representatives and MasOrange, as these companies will have lost 69.7% in the process raised.

In a statement sent by CCOO to the company’s employees this Friday, the breakdown of the layoffs was included, which specifically means 521 victims in Orange Spain (OSP) and 33 in Orange Spain Fixed Communications (OSFI).

Meanwhile, the total in the companies that belonged to MásMóvil will amount to 241 employees (just over 30% of the total), with the following distribution: 141 layoffs at Xfera; 39 in Euskaltel; 35, in RCable/Telecable and 26, in Lorcaaccording to the same sources.

MasOrange is the company that was created after the merger of Orange España and MásMóvil, about five months ago, in an operation that resulted in a company with about 8,000 employees, although in the EUA only six of its companies have been affected, so the losses will amount to around 8,000 employees. 17% of the 4,600 employees.

The most affected region will be Madrid – where most of the working population is located – with 627 layoffs, which represents 78.87% of the total number of proposed victims; Behind it is the Basque Autonomous Community, where the presence of Euskaltel stands out, with 43 victims and Barcelona, ​​​​with 35.

In the case of Galicia and Asturias, where the group operates with RCable/Telecable, the proposed number of redundancies is 20 and 18 respectively.

Last Tuesday, September 17, the negotiating table was formed, which will have its next meeting on the 25th, in talks where the voluntariness of the ERE is an essential part of the negotiation, since the company has indicated that this will be so. preferably voluntary”, something that does not convince the unions.

For its part, the union announces in the same CCOO statement that it will defend all jobs with “all legal and union means” and that it will take action to do so mobilizations, concentrations, strikes or walkouts.
