Attack on Hezbollah – Lebanon: 100 dead after Israeli strikes

Date:

The Middle East is not calming down. According to information from Israel, more than 300 Hezbollah targets were attacked in Lebanon on Monday and the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported at least 100 deaths.

In addition, more than 300 people were reportedly injured. The victims included children, women and medical personnel. “More than 300 Hezbollah targets have been struck since morning,” Israel said in a statement. Earlier, it said that 150 airstrikes were carried out between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. (local time) alone.

Israel speaks of ‘precise attacks’
The Israeli army announced “larger and more precise” strikes on Monday, urging the population of southern Lebanon to seek safety as the conflict between Israel and pro-Iranian Hezbollah intensified in recent days.

The Israeli military killed several senior Hezbollah commanders in a targeted airstrike in Beirut and announced the destruction of thousands of rocket launch pads in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah has once again unleashed a rain of rockets
Hezbollah, for its part, has stepped up its attacks over the weekend. According to Israeli information, about 150 rockets and drones were fired at Israel on Sunday night alone.

Following the latest Israeli airstrikes, Hezbollah said it had again fired dozens of rockets at several Israeli military posts. Details or an Israeli statement were not initially available.
