At a press conference in Beirut, Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad said two health centers had been completely destroyed by Israeli bombardments in the past few hours.
The authorities of Lebanon estimated this Tuesday at more than 550 deadincluding 50 children, due to the wave of bombings executed by the Israeli army against the country since Monday.
The Lebanese Minister of Health, Firas Abiadhas stated that so far 550 people have been confirmed dead in the Israeli strikes, which have targeted the south and the Bekaa Valley in the east of the country, although they have also hit the country’s capital, Beirut. He also stressed that the number of wounded has risen to 1,835.
The Israeli army, for its part, confirmed on Tuesday a “second wave of attacks” on Hezbollah “terrorist targets,” while one of its spokesmen made a new “urgent announcement” to the Lebanese population demanding that they evacuate areas “near or in buildings where weapons were stored.”
Hezbollah has responded to these attacks with the launching dozens of projectiles against Israeli military positions. The army estimates that nearly 100 rockets have been fired from southern Lebanon in the past few hours, with no information yet on casualties or material damage.
Tensions have risen in recent days, especially after last week’s wave of coordinated explosions in communications equipment believed to have been used by Hezbollah, killing about 40 people and wounding around 3,000.
