A man was pushed against a tree with his own car in the Jennersdorf district in southern Burgenland on Thursday. His neighbor noticed the terrible accident and immediately alerted the emergency services. But for the 68-year-old all help came too late…
The man was immediately rescued by emergency services and taken to Feldbach Hospital. However, he died there a short time later. The injuries were too serious.
The car suddenly started moving
The 68-year-old wanted to pull out of his sloping driveway shortly before 7.20pm before the tragic accident. He then got out of the car to make sure he had enough room for it. However, the car suddenly started moving and when he tried to get into the vehicle, he was pushed into a tree.
His neighbor, who could see everything, immediately rushed to help and alerted the emergency services. Police said the victim was able to describe what happened in the crash, but later died from serious injuries to his chest and pelvic area.
