The investigation into a doctor from Vorarlberg who allegedly granted vaccination exemptions for no good reason has been stopped. The public prosecutor in Feldkirch reports this on Monday.
The doctor from the Vorarlberger Unterland was examined on suspicion of falsifying evidence. According to a spokesperson, the procedure has been discontinued “for reasons of evidence”. No further details were given. The case went public early this year when vaccination waivers became an issue due to the coronavirus vaccine announced (and shelved over the summer).
There were reports of people making pilgrimages from doctor to doctor in hopes of being exempt from vaccination or turning to doctors who were known to be critical of vaccination.
A total of four procedures
The Disciplinary Committee of the Vorarlberg Medical Association conducted four proceedings in connection with the Corona measures at the end of 2021. A spokesperson for the Vorarlberg Medical Association said Monday that no information should be given about the content and the result.
In the meantime, no new proceedings have been opened and the general situation has “clearly calmed down” since the beginning of the year.
