The Minister of Education of the Basque Government, Begoña Pedrosahas stated that his department plans to “audit and monitor” the management of subsidized and private centers to ensure compliance with the free education service in a “rigorous manner.”

In an interview for the program “Boulevard” on Radio Euskadi, Pedrosa recalled that the new education law confirms this free education and that the Basque government will be “stricter” in its compliance. Moreover, he has calculated that at the end of the year “the commitment” regarding the agreement on the equalization of the salaries of public school teachers with those of public schools will be implemented, after the necessary amendment to the budget law that this will accomplish. be approved in the Council of Government and later in the Basque Parliament.
