Julia Moretti, wife of Burgtheater star Tobias Moretti, is recovering from a serious quad bike accident in Ranggen (Innsbruck-Land district).
The oboist and musician fell about 20 meters from a steep meadow on Thursday during agricultural work. She had to undergo two surgeries, but survived the procedures very well and “is not likely to sustain any permanent damage to her spine,” the statement said.

The senior doctor in charge of the first operation “performed it brilliantly”. The second operation also went well on Monday in the Kettenbrücke sanatorium.
Was trapped under the vehicle
According to the police, the 52-year-old lost her way on Thursday when she was driving the quad on private property. She was pinned under the vehicle, where her husband found and freed her shortly after. Because the meadow was so steep, the wounded had to be rescued with a rope.
