Fuel is a coveted commodity, especially in times of massive inflation – even among criminals: Unknowns have tapped 1500 liters of diesel at a construction site in the Tyrolean lowlands over the weekend. There is no trace of the perpetrators.
The fuel thieves were engaged in mischief at a construction site in Angath (Kufstein district) over the weekend. “She broke into two diesel tanks and two diesel compressors and pumped out about 1,400 liters of diesel,” police said.
Police hope for witnesses
But that’s not all: the strangers extracted another 100 liters from two forklifts. The assailants were able to flee undetected. Police are now hoping for possible witnesses.
