At the anti-Israel demonstration – Berlin: activist wanted to set fire to police car

Date:

After a pro-Palestinian rally in Berlin on Tuesday at which rocket attacks on Israel were cheered (see video above) and police officers and journalists were attacked, police are investigating several participants. It has now been announced that a 43-year-old woman was arrested for trying to set fire to a police car – while an officer was still in the vehicle.

There is horror in German politics after Tuesday’s meeting under the motto “Hands off Lebanon – Freedom for Palestine”. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser described the situation in the Middle East as extremely dangerous and said Iran’s missile attacks could not be justified. “The threat level of Islamic, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel acts is high.” She spoke of an “emotionalization and radicalization of people in the Islamic scene.”

Flame was extinguished in time
A 43-year-old from this scene apparently wanted to make a special ‘sign’ and poured a flammable liquid over the back of a parked police car in which a police officer was sitting and set it on fire. But the second police officer was able to extinguish the flame before the entire patrol car burned out. The activist was arrested and charged with criminal damage and attempted aggravated arson.

Minister of the Interior: Consistently pursue support for terrorism
Faeser reminded on Wednesday that any activity by the terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah is prohibited in Germany. “Any support is therefore a criminal offense. Propaganda for these terrorists can be continued consistently,” the minister continued.
