Ukraine under pressure – Russian troops regularly report new revenues

Date:

The Russian military is currently regularly reporting the capture of towns – most recently a village near the strategically important eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk. The enemy of war is inferior, both in numbers of troops and weapons.

As a result, defense in the east of the country is difficult. Ultimately, the Ukrainian army withdrew from the city of Vuhledar. On Saturday, Russian forces reported the capture of the ‘Zhelannoye Vtoroye settlement’ – this is the Russian name for the village. Russia currently occupies 18 percent of the neighboring country. After a series of setbacks in the first year of the war, the army gained ground and continued to advance against the enemy this year.

New Russian attacks have now been reported in the southern Zaporizhia region and the Donetsk region. According to Ukrainian information, two civilians were killed. On Saturday afternoon, the army shot down a Russian fighter jet. “The debris partially fell around the town of Kostiantynivka. Debris also fell in a residential area – several private homes were damaged. No one was killed or injured in this accident,” the head of the local military government said.
