STEILAS, ANPE, AFAPNA, LAB, CCOO, ELA and UGT emphasize that, a week after the announcement of the strike, “the government of Navarre has not met with the union forces, even after also presenting the demands at the general table , where “they were sent back to negotiate with the executive.”
The education unions (STEILAS, ANPE, AFAPNA, LAB, CCOO, ELA and UGT) have registered the call for this Tuesday strike in it Navarre’s public education sector for October 29.
“Given that the government of Navarre is failing in its responsibility to teachers,” the public education unions have registered the second strike in the sector and requested a new meeting with the executive, they said in a statement.
These formations emphasize that, a week after the announcement of the strike, “the government of Navarre has not met with the union forces, even after also bringing the demands to the general table, where they were sent back to deal with the executive negotiation”.
Faced with this situation, they call on teachers to join the strike and on the government to “start real negotiations once and for all,” they emphasize.
The first day of the strike took place on September 25, with three out of two teachers supporting the strike, according to the unions. However, the Ministry of Education estimated the follow-up rate at 26.5%.
The trade union centers demand, among other measures, lowering the ratios, easing the overload of teachers (bureaucracy, meetings, evaluations, etc.), ending the instability of the labor force and restoring the loss of purchasing power.
