On Monday at 6:48 p.m., a man from Salzburg crossed the Alpenstrasse in the area of Michael-Pacher-Strasse in Salzburg. The 75-year-old was hit by the car of a driver (80) from Salzburg.
All help came too late
The driver was on his way into town. The pedestrian was seriously injured in the collision. He died of his injuries in the accident hospital.
The police are looking for clues
An alcohol test on the driver of the car was negative. Since there are no witness statements yet, Salzburg police are asking the public for any possible information that could provide more information about what happened in the accident.
