On Friday morning, police officers in Upper Bavaria were surprised when they caught an Austrian simply drinking from a wine bottle while driving.
The 57-year-old Austrian was traveling in the German town of Laufen in the Berchtesgadener Land in Upper Bavaria on Friday when he was stopped by police.
Wine bottle unpacked
When patrol officers saw the man suddenly unpack a wine bottle and drink from it while driving, they immediately arrested the 57-year-old.
Further travel is prohibited
Due to his drunkenness, he was soon forbidden to continue his journey. The alcoholic driver has been reported and his driver’s license has been confiscated, the Laufen police station said in a press release.
