Murder weapon: overweight – 135 kilo colossus crushes woman in marital bed

Date:

After a marital tragedy, a trained chef went into hiding in Vienna for months. Now the shocking trial began in Germany – the ‘murder weapon’ was essentially too heavy.

The trial of an unusual murder case is currently underway at the Stuttgart Regional Court. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the conflict over the persistent unemployment of the 135-kilo colossus Oliver R. escalated one morning in November 2023, complete with his wife in the bedroom of the house.

As the 52-year-old was getting ready for work in front of the mirror, the trained chef, 54, approached her from behind, placed a terry cloth towel around Naemi’s head and pulled her onto the marital bed. He then grabbed a neck pillow and covered his victim’s mouth and nose with it.

Victim crushed with body mass in pain
When his wife fought back in her death throes, Oliver R. allegedly made short work of it, according to the Public Prosecution Service. He heaved his 300 pounds onto her chest and smothered her with his sheer body mass. The trained chef, who left his job as a transport driver and was thrown out by Deutsche Bahn while retraining as a train driver due to too many absences, tried to cover up the shocking act. He reported his wife sick to her employer and wrapped the body in a carpet.

Arrested upon return from Vienna
Another gruesome detail: to hide the smell of decomposition, he sealed windows and doors before going into hiding with a friend in Vienna. It was only last March that police officers found the partially mummified body after a report of missing colleagues. After four months on the run, Oliver R. was arrested at Stuttgart’s main station on his return journey from Vienna.

The verdict is on December 13. Even the defense attorney expects a life sentence!
