He has assured that it is not possible to know how many departures there will be in Euskaltel, where 39 were initially quantified.

The MasOrange ERE Agreement, which will have an impact 650 employees, has continued with the votes in favor of the representatives of the UGT and Fetico unions and against the representation of CCOOafter the final meeting of the negotiating table this Wednesday in Madrid.

The ERE agreement was concluded after the company did so “slightly” modified the terms of what is proposed, according to UGT sources.

For example, the non-competition clause has been abolished and the remuneration in kind with salary category has been included in the statutory salary and the income limit for early retirement has also been abolished.

The trade union negotiating table consists of five representatives from CCOO, four from UGT and another four from the Independent Trade Union Confederation (Fetico). That is why, despite the votes against CCOO, the agreement goes ahead.

The company’s proposal reduced the number of people affected to 650 795 which the ERE proposal started and which the company gradually phased out as negotiations progressed.

As for the voluntary nature of the ERE, they have not been able to make it fully voluntary, according to CCOO sources, who indicate that they voted against because they believe that the agreement does not meet the “necessary” conditions.

In this sense, the chairman of the Euskaltel works council (CCOO), Javier del Blancohas expressed its rejection of the agreement because the file is not “solely and exclusively voluntary” and fears that “forced redundancies” could ultimately occur if not enough people benefit from early retirements and incentivized redundancies.

According to him, the company “should have made an effort” so that “all” departures would be “voluntary and, moreover, dignified.”

The chairman of the Euskaltel Commission and representative of CCOO at the negotiating table has indicated that the union has followed “the instructions of the staff”, which rejected the company’s proposal last Monday and this Wednesday there have only been changes that were not. overly relevant.”
