A bloody row in Salzburg’s Lehener Park has since led to charges of double attempted murder. The suspect is only a few years old.
It was January 8 when several men met for a discussion – from all places in Lehener Park, a crime hotspot in Salzburg. Two groups met. A boy, then only 17, pulled a 32-centimeter knife with a 19-centimeter blade and stabbed two men – both victims suffered life-threatening injuries from the abdominal stabs.
Prosecutor files charges
Now, months later, the Salzburg prosecutor’s office has filed a complaint against the alleged mobster. This was confirmed on Tuesday by both authority spokeswoman Elena Haslinger and defense attorney Isabel Pinegger. The suspect, who is under further investigation, has been in custody since the incident.
It is still unclear when he will have to answer to the jury in the regional court.
