France supplies Ukraine with newly developed kamikaze drones. As French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced on Thursday, the tests with the aircraft (see photo) were successful.
The drones are a development of the German-French arms company KNDS, of which France wants to order 2,000 copies, reports the newspaper ‘La Voix du Nord’, citing previous information from the Ministry of Defense.
According to KNDS information, the drones called “Colibri” have an operating time of 45 minutes. They can observe, identify and neutralize static or moving targets within a five kilometer radius.
Initially, 100 of the remote-controlled explosives will be delivered to Ukraine. According to the information, the kamikaze drones are an important addition to the Caesar howitzer, with which France supplies Ukraine.
