The contribution of Basque industry to the economy is higher than the average of any state, and ranks among industrial regions such as southern Germany and northern Italy.

The weight of Basque industry within its economy (32% in Navarra and 23.9% in the BAC) is greater than that of European industry in the EU’s total GDP (20.6%) and that of Spain in the GDP of the state (16.6%), and places Hego Euskal Herria as one of the European industrial regions.
So Hego Euskal Herria is one of the regions where the sector has a greater relative weightalong with areas in Germany, Italy and France.
Other important regions are in southern Germany. Highlights Baden-Württembergvalue 38% of GDP comes from industry. This relative weight of the industry is the largest in Europe; It is not without reason that it is one of the strongest economies overall.
