The Provincial Council of Bizkaia will make an investment of 50,000 euros through 5,000 discount vouchers of 10 euros for repairs in participating branches and encourage the reduction of waste and extend the life of various consumer goods, as reported in a statement.
To this end, the regional institution opened the registration period for the campaign on Friday. ‘Bizkaia repairs’which aims to promote the recovery of products and sustainable and responsible consumption.
Businesses in the area have until the next day November 15 to submit your applications via the internet of the institution. The bonus campaign starts on December 9 and ends on March 10, 2025.
The project will be available to companies offering product repair textiles, shoes, furniture, electronic devices, jewelry and other personal and household belongings.
Establishments must register the customer’s details and attach a copy of the proof of purchase on a digital platform powered by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
Maximum five vouchers per person
The bonds won’t have that no costs for the consumerto be requested upon payment, with a maximum of five vouchers per person.
The Deputy of Natural Environment and Agriculture, Arantza Atutxahas explained that the bonds not only defend consumers’ right to repair their belongings, but also strengthen the local repair market and reduce costs for citizens.
