German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has expressed extreme concern over reports that North Korean troops are being moved to Russia.
“You cannot underestimate that,” Scholz warned journalists during his trip to India. “This is obviously something that further escalates the situation.”
But it also shows that Russian President Vladimir Putin is in dire straits. At the same time, in addition to ‘solid, reliable’ support for Ukraine, it is a reason to continue striving for a just peace in the country attacked by Russia.
Zelenskyj convinced of commitment
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously said, based on intelligence information, that he expected Russia to deploy North Korean soldiers in its war of aggression from Sunday or Monday. This clearly shows Putin’s intention to continue the war.
This week, the Kremlin chief did not deny reports of the deployment and training of North Korean soldiers and referred to the military cooperation agreed with Pyongyang. At the same time, he once again emphasized Russia’s willingness to negotiate a solution to the conflict.
