An exceptional talent in the mountain biking community, Samantha Soriano won numerous titles as a teenager. Some even say she transformed the sport. She says: “I think it is important to also show the vulnerable side of driving.”
Samantha got on a bike for the first time at the age of four under the supervision of her father. She then mainly imitated her brother. “I think it’s important to have role models – even of the same gender,” says Samantha in an interview with Krone+. “For me it was definitely Tahnée Seagrave. She is from Great Britain and has done so much for the sport. She has inspired me enormously.” At the age of 17, Samantha was finally crowned US Downhill Champion, but eventually moved on to the freeride scene.
