Animal use – cat rescued from pipe, now looking for owner

Date:

Animal action for the St. Johann in Tirol fire brigade on Tuesday: In an emergency, the rescuers were able to free a cat from a plastic pipe into which the velvet paw had slipped. A happy ending at the last second, because the completely weakened pussy probably wouldn’t have survived much longer.

The cute velvet paw almost paid for the trial tour of a company site in St. Johann with his life. There are several concrete rings on the site, each with a plastic pipe embedded in it.

Passerby heard loud meowing
The cat fell in and probably would never have been able to free itself. The animal survived thanks to an observant passerby who heard the ‘howling’ meow and informed the Tyrol control center.

A crane was needed to save it
The fire brigade arrived, but the rescue was not so easy. To reach the ‘pipe prison’, the emergency services first had to hoist the concrete rings above it with a crane. “Only then could the animal be carefully freed from its predicament,” they say.

Owner urgently wanted
It is still completely unclear who owns the cat. After the cat was successfully rescued, it was first taken to a vet and then to the “velvet paw room”. She is now waiting there for her owner.
