After the bloody gang war in July on Vienna’s Yppenplatz in Ottakring, a 21-year-old man from Libya was arrested. He is said to have been involved in the argument between several people, during which shots were fired.
A large contingent of police and rescue services caused a commotion on July 14 at Yppenplatz, where the bars were well attended due to the European Championship final. Witnesses reported shots were fired and helicopters circled above the square. Two people (19, 22) suffered serious gunshot wounds after an argument between several men. Fortunately, according to the police, their lives were not in danger.
The suspects who fired the shots fled that evening. But on Monday one of the suspects, a 21-year-old Libyan, was finally tracked down and arrested by police. The young man refuses to make a statement. He was taken to prison.
