Serious accusations against a Styrian police officer! She allegedly threatened a minor (15) who hit a boy in the face on the playground to come to her and hold her service weapon in her face. The incident is under investigation.
At the beginning of September, ugly scenes took place on a playground in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district: a primary school student (7) allegedly shot a 15-year-old girl with water bombs made from dog bags. Because he wouldn’t stop, the girl fought back and punched him in the face, earning her a citation from the boy’s father for assault.
“I’m holding my gun in your face!”
According to Marc Simbürger, lawyer for the suspect and her mother, it then became bizarre: a police officer allegedly sent a voicemail message with the request to call the girl back. She and her mother called back confused. A police officer introduced himself on the phone and said the 15-year-old had been reported.
The mother expressed concerns about whether the officer was real. “I’ll prove to you that I’m from the police by standing in front of your door and holding my gun in front of your face!” She suddenly threatened and called the girl “Gfrast”. Shortly afterwards, two police officers, including the officer in question, showed up at their home and threatened them with youth care and the court.
Incredible behavior
For lawyer Marc Simbürger, this is incredible behavior by the employees: “This approach not only undermines the rights of the suspect and the presumption of innocence, but also any appropriate treatment of minors!” state police headquarters, and a statement of facts to the public prosecutor’s office is in preparation.
When police were asked about it, press spokesman Heimo Kohlbacher said: “We can neither confirm nor deny the incident. However, we have received a corresponding complaint and it is being investigated.”
