The strike in passenger transport on Monday, November 11, 2024 will be suspended due to the consequences of DANA

UGT, CC. OO. and the Free Transport Union (SLT) clarify that the postponement will only apply to the strike on November 11 and that it aims to “avoid further complications in the affected areas”.

The unions UGT, CC.OO. and the Free Transport Union (SLT) have announced the suspension of the Passenger road transport strike which was scheduled for next Monday, November 11, in response to “the serious emergency” experienced by the province of Valencia and other autonomous communities following the passage of DANA and with the aim of “avoiding further complications in the affected areas, where the road infrastructure is seriously damaged.

As they indicated in a statement, the suspension aims to facilitate the mobility and transfer of resources necessary for recovery works in Valencia and the surrounding areas. However, they clarify that this pause is “temporary” and will only apply on November 11.

Therefore, the strike calendar will resume with scheduled days November 28 and 29as well as the December 5, 9 and 23with an extension indefinite from this latter date if negotiations are not successful.

Finally, and in light of the catastrophe caused by DANA in the province of Valencia, they have announced that they have agreed to convene a 10 minute break (at 12:00) for the next one FridayNovember 8 in all workplaces in the Spanish state, both public and private.
