Difficult scenes on a Korean Air plane: A passenger panicked mid-flight – to the horror of the other passengers and staff, he tried to open the plane door. Fortunately, the crew was able to get the rioter under control.
The incident occurred on November 7 during a flight from Bangkok to Incheon, South Korea. A passenger initially sat in the cabin crew seat without permission. Apparently, when a flight attendant asked him to evacuate, all of the passenger’s fuses had blown.
Passenger was taken to a separate room
He threatened the crew and behaved extremely aggressively. Finally he grabbed the door latch and tried to open the emergency door. Several flight attendants eventually managed to stop the rioter. He was taken to a separate room to calm down.
The flight eventually landed in South Korea on time with 238 passengers. The airline said: “The incident was handled in accordance with our established safety protocols, with passenger safety and operational integrity being the highest priority.”
