Explosive device explodes – Anti-Israel demonstrations: 15 police officers in the emergency room

On Friday, pro-Palestinian demonstrations against Israel and the right-wing government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni took place in several Italian cities. During protests in Turin there were tensions with the police and 15 officers had to go to the emergency room.

In Turin, pro-Palestinian students protested not only against Meloni, but also against Israel. An explosive device was also thrown into the main square, Piazza Castello, releasing acrid fumes.

There were tensions with the police. The demonstrators tried to reach the prefectural headquarters but were turned away by police. There were riots.

Slogans for Palestine
In several Italian cities, including the capital Rome, schoolchildren and students took part in demonstrations against Meloni’s government. The demonstrators also chanted slogans for Palestine. They also carried Palestinian flags.
