Police officers from Pinzgau managed to solve a case of persistent persecution. Since the beginning of August 2024, a 65-year-old woman from Pinzgau has been massively harassed by an unknown telephone caller. The victim received up to 83 anonymous calls every day – without saying anything.
Extensive investigation by the officers has now shown that the calls came from a 40-year-old man from Burgenland. The man has already been charged several times for the same facts. The Eisenstadt Regional Court ordered the arrest and imprisonment.
Over a four-month period, a total of 535 phone calls were verified by the 40-year-old.
