Behind the mask is a new man, but Batman is back and the Dark Knight still pays tribute to cinemas as viewers show great enthusiasm for the latest reboot. Robert Pattinson has received criticism for his cult superhero, with some skeptics calling him a “Batman UFO”.
But despite the skepticism, the new Batman movie was well received by viewers and critics. In fact, according to online movie aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the latest Batman movie is the fourth-best movie since Adam West first donned his faux-fibre suit in 1966; And the third best except for the animation features.
Batman is good enough to have an 85% approval rating on Tomatometer, based on many critical reviews. It also has an approval rating of 88% based on the opinions of more than 10,000 certified viewers and regular users of Rotten Tomatoes.

But despite the positive reviews, Christian Bailey leads the Batman fight, naming The Dark Knight 2008 the best film of the franchise with Tomatometer. The second film in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy — starring Heath Ledger as the superhero Joker — scored nearly 94% on a Tomatometer.
Billy’s most recent role as Batman in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) also received a high score of 87%, which is enough for third place among Batman films. Bill turns down second place in the blockchain-based animated film Lego Batman Movie (2017), in which Will Arnett plays the voice of Batman, who takes second place.
Batman first appeared on the big screen in the 1943 television series Batman, starring Louis Wilson. But the comic book character’s continued popularity was boosted by Adam West in the 1960s television series The Crusaders, which was featured in the 1966 movie Batman, which peaked at number eight on Rotten Tomatoes.
In modern times, Michael Keaton was the actor who brought Batman back to the big screen in 1989 with Batman in ninth place. Keaton’s second Batman movie, Batman Returns (1992) has a much higher rating and is at number seven.

However, not all Batman films have succeeded with critics or audiences. Pattinson’s direct predecessor, Ben Affleck, starred as a copycat hero in two films, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017).
Liked by none of the critics, Rotten Tomatoes gave both films a “green point” and placed them as “rotten” on Tomatometer. The Justice League scored 40 percent — although four-hour director Zack Snyder had a much higher score, 70 percent — and Batman V Superman — a weak 29 percent.
But the worst Batman movie is George Clooney’s lonely role as The Dark Knight, Batman & Robin (1997). It contains only 12 percent on a tomometer, which critics say it deserves as “a grumpy, useless movie that’s just too much fun to watch.”
