A terrible discovery is currently shocking the northern German city of Hamburg: a headless body was discovered in a meadow on the Elbe on Saturday evening.
According to the “Bild Zeitung”, passers-by next to the Rissen lighthouse noticed the heavily skeletal torso of a man in a meadow on the Elbe at 4:08 p.m. and immediately called the police. Ten minutes later the first officers arrived on the banks of the Elbe.
The Hamburg police discovered that in addition to the head, other limbs were also missing. It is still unclear how the body ended up there. It is also not yet known who the dead person is.

In the late afternoon, homicide detectives were busy collecting evidence, while firefighters illuminated the area with large spotlights. According to the information, the body is currently en route to the medical examiner’s office. We’ll probably know more after the autopsy.
