A tourist boat sank during a diving trip off the Egyptian coast – dozens of tourists and crew members are missing.
The excursion boat left Marsa Alam on Sunday and was carrying 31 holidaymakers and a crew of 14 when the vehicle sank due to the floods. The aircraft was expected to arrive in Hurghada on November 29.

The accident site is said to be in the Shaab Sataeh area north of Marsa Alam. At 5:30 am a distress signal was sent by the tourist boat Sea Story. The boat then disappeared from radar and contact was also lost.
The search for the missing was still ongoing late Monday morning. Water rescue teams and a helicopter responded. According to Major General Amr Hanaf, some tourists have already been rescued, but no further details have been released.
