Tractor crashes – car accidents: against guardrail and noise barrier

A Viennese man (48) was driving his car with four other occupants on the southern highway towards Italy, but at Tainach the car swerved to the right of the road, collided with the guardrail, was thrown across the road against the concrete center barrier and continued driving 40 sliding meters further. The force tore off the right front wheel.

The driver and his passenger were taken to the Klagenfurt clinic, the other occupants suffered minor injuries and were treated on site by the rescue team.

A towing company removed the wreckage from the accident scene. The FF Völkermarkt and Poggersdorf were in action, as well as the maintenance department of the Klagenfurt motorway.

Fell asleep for a moment
A few hours later, a 60-year-old from the St. Veit district was driving on the Seeberg federal road towards Brückl. In Rain, as he told police, he fell asleep, crashed the car into a concrete sewer shaft, various road guidance equipment and finally head-on into a noise barrier. The driver was injured and taken to hospital. The car was total.

Tractor overturned
A tractor driver was only slightly injured on Friday in an accident in Linsenberg near Poggersdorf: the 79-year-old was plowing a field, but went over the edge of the dike while reversing. The tractor overturned and fell approximately eight feet into the embankment. Medical treatment at the scene of the accident was sufficient for the man. The tractor also suffered little damage.
