Flames fire Wednesday morning in a community building in Vienna-Floridsdorf! Residents were woken from their sleep and five cars were set on fire. But there’s probably more to it than just coincidence. A dispute is said to have escalated there.
It was shortly after four in the morning when the residents of Aistgasse were woken from their sleep. Five vehicles caught fire in a parking lot in front of the house. The cars burned down to the body and the residents are shocked.
Probably not a technical defect
As the Viennese fire brigade reports, the inferno was quickly extinguished. No one was injured either. But there is no expectation of an accident in the community building…
According to witnesses, the incident was caused by a dispute between family clans in the settlement. Who set the vehicles on fire is still under investigation. The fire brigade was not yet aware of the background.
What is certain is that the cars were not all parked next to each other. A technical defect in one of the vehicles is therefore unlikely.
