Last Friday, 28-year-old Brazilian bodybuilder and influencer José Mateus Correia Silva died unexpectedly in a gym in his hometown of Águas Claras. His fans are shocked.
Silva was an award-winning ex-bodybuilder, businessman, had studied nutritional sciences and had decades of training experience. He guided fitness enthusiasts on site, gave tips on training and career planning in top sport, but also supported top athletes. He also sold nutritional supplements.
On Friday, José was doing his usual workout routine when he suddenly complained of feeling unwell and nauseous. He left the fitness center with a friend and fainted on the way to the hospital. Diagnosis: cardiac arrest! José died in hospital.
The influencer did not suffer from any health problems beforehand, his brother Tiago Correia emphasizes.
The funeral service on Sunday attracted hundreds of people. José’s wife and family, friends, customers and colleagues gathered to pay their last respects.
