Israel has repeatedly accused the Shiite militia of barricading residential areas and civilian buildings such as mosques. But there have been no reports of churches so far.
The Lebanese news agency NNA reported isolated Israeli artillery fire in southern Lebanon. Nothing was known about any casualties.
Tens of thousands of Lebanese are returning
Meanwhile, according to reports, tens of thousands of Lebanese have already returned to their home country from Syria. As the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced, more than 28,000 people have crossed the border into Lebanon.
