A Styrian woman (34) was found covered in blood on Tuesday afternoon in the basement of an apartment building in Mürzzuschlag. Any help came too late for the woman. The partner (33) is an urgent suspect, but a 44-year-old Afghan has also been arrested.
At around 4:20 p.m., the rescue center received a distress call. A woman and a man had a violent argument in the basement of an apartment building in the Eisenbahnersiedlung. The woman can also be injured. It was still unclear Wednesday morning who called.
When rescuers and a police patrol arrived at the scene of the incident, they found a woman covered in blood in the basement. Despite immediate resuscitation measures, an emergency doctor was only able to determine the death of the 34-year-old. She would have suffered serious injuries, probably from stab wounds.
The partner of the victim, a 33-year-old local resident, is an urgent suspect, according to the police. He was arrested Tuesday without resistance. Another suspect, a 44-year-old Afghan man who lives in the same house, was also arrested. An Afghan family is said to have stayed with the couple, or at least in the same house.
