In the statement, Just Eat Spain recalls that “glovo has been convicted in numerous sentences for hiring delivery drivers such as false self-employment and violation of labor legislation“, which puts Just Eat “in a clear situation of competitive disadvantage” as it “engages paid delivery drivers as required by law, which entails high additional costs,” the company argues.

For its part, Glovo has framed this turn in its labor strategy “within the framework of its firm commitment to Spain, its country of origin and its main market” and has specified that it will open a dialogue table with social actors to facilitate the process of model change.

The company has pointed out that the model change will be implemented in all cities where it delivers be greater than 900and in all branches of the application, although it is not specified when this will occur, nor when the dialog table will be opened.
