Friday afternoon – Two accidents kept Lungauer Floriani busy

A serious traffic accident occurred in Weißpriach (Salzburg) – probably due to the snow-covered, slippery road. In Ramingstein it was even said: “Vehicle crashed”; For unknown reasons, a car crashed into a tree.

On Friday afternoon, the Weißpriach, Mauterndorf and Tamsweg fire brigades were called to a serious traffic accident. There was also a person trapped in the car on the L224 in the Weißpriach area. The district control center of the fire brigade in Lungau describes: “When the Weißpriach fire brigade arrived, fortunately it turned out that no one was trapped in the vehicle.”

The rescue service was already on site and treating the injured. The Weißpriach fire brigade secured the accident scene and provided fire protection. After the police reported the accident, one of the vehicles was recovered with the help of the heavy rescue vehicle of the Tamsweg fire brigade.

The driver was unable to free himself
The Ramingstein and Tamsweg fire brigades were called to a traffic accident early on Friday afternoon. The operational order stated: “Traffic accident with one person trapped – vehicle crashed.” The State Alarm and Warning Center, the Red Cross, the police and the mountain rescue service were immediately alerted.

When the Ramingstein fire brigade arrived, BI operations manager Sebastian Tosch noted: “A car had left the road for an unknown reason and crashed into a tree, preventing the vehicle from falling again.”

The driver was still in the car and could not leave it independently. The fire brigade made the vehicle safe. The man was then freed in collaboration with the emergency doctor present and his car was recovered.
