Damascus occupied – rebels: “Tyrant Bashar al-Assad has fled”

According to the state army, the rule of ruler Bashar al-Assad in Syria has come to an end. The Islamists marched into Damascus on Sunday. They declared Damascus ‘free of Assad’.

Bashar Al-Assad left Damascus on Sunday with an unknown destination. The insurgents said they entered the capital without any sign of troop movements. According to witnesses, thousands of people gathered in a central square in Damascus, waving flags and chanting “freedom.”

Prime Minister Mohamed al-Jalali declared his willingness to make an immediate transfer of power. The rebels stated that they wanted to settle this peacefully.
