Date:

An eleven-year-old girl was rescued from the island of Lampedusa by the German NGO ship “Trotamar III”. The brave child was the only survivor who managed to save himself with the help of a hose and a life jacket.

45 migrants left Sfax in Tunisia for Italy. According to the girl from Sierra Leona, the boat sank due to a storm.

The little girl stayed afloat with the help of a tube and a life jacket until she was rescued. The child arrived in Lampedusa at 6am on Wednesday.

Before the young girl arrived, a total of 356 migrants landed in Lampedusa on Wednesday evening. They traveled with five boats. All passengers said they had left Libya.
