A 33-year-old Bosnian damaged several cars while driving his car through the Braunau city area on Friday evening around 10 p.m. The man, who lives in Germany, had drunk some alcoholic drinks with his colleagues after work and then got behind the wheel.
Police officer turned witness
While still in the business parking lot, he hit the business owner’s car but continued driving. He then collided with at least four other cars parked along the street. Just like before with his boss’s car, the man continued driving without stopping. An off-duty police officer observed the scene and reported the incident to his colleagues.
Looking for more victims
They were able to stop him at close range a short time later. The alcohol test showed 2.08 per mille, which is why his driver’s license was confiscated. According to current research, the 33-year-old caused at least five traffic accidents involving collisions over a distance of almost two kilometers.
